Headliner ~ John Gordillo

John Gordillo is a superb Headline act, we're honoured to have him and we hail his welcome return to the comedy scene after an absence. If you have not seen John then you are missing one of the best comedians currently working in the UK. A master at his craft, someone instantly at home behind the mic and we guarantee comedy will ensue. He has played the Gag Factory in Guildford and as we say in the business "Raised the roof off", "blew the doors off" and "destroyed the room", let's hope we can afford the clean up at the Embassy Club.

Gordillo started as a stand-up in the mid-Nineties and quickly established himself. His TV credentials are short but perfectly formed: Comedy Cuts, John Gordillo's RDA plus lots of radio work and he directed Eddie Izzard's Unrepeatable and Live at the Ambassadors. We know you are going to love him so book now!

Earlier adopters of digital TV will remember him as the host of BBC Choice's RDA, a topical show in the vein of Jon Stewart's The Daily Show which ran for an impressive 60 episodes over two series in 2000 and 2001 - but was never renewed when the channel became BBC Three. However, there are still a small handful of internet shrines to the show.

Stand-up John Gordillo has recently returned to performance after establishing himself as a comedy director, with credits that include Eddie Izzard’s Unrepeatable and Live At The Ambassadors shows, a stint looking after sketch collective Ealing Live, and any number of Edinburgh shows.

Our stand up comedy show night performs every Wednesday at the Embassy Club, 29 Old Burlington Street, London, just off Savile Row. Our capacity is an intimate 75 and it's going to always be a popular night so book in advance.
